        You may be aware of recent news stories relating to Hormone Replacement Therapy.

If you are currently taking HRT please do not be alarmed !

The studies have not yet been fully evaluated by the medical community.

The key message seems to relate to those women who have been prescribed HRT in order

to reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease - it would appear that the other risks associated with

taking HRT do not justify taking HRT to reduce cardiovascular risk alone.

As usual, we would advise any of our patients taking HRT to come and discuss these issues with us.
