What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese Medicine that is over 2000 years old. It is based upon the idea that our internal energy can become ‘out of balance’, resulting eventually in disease.

Treatment is given to bring the body back into balance and so remove the original cause of the illness; this is done by placing very fine needles in special points in the body.

What can Acupuncture help with?

Acupuncture treats the whole person, body mind and spirit, and so can help with the majority of health problems whether physical or emotional. It stimulates the body’s own ability to heal.

Acupuncture will do more than cure symptoms as it works to strengthen the whole person from within. Patients often say that they feel much better as a result of treatment because their energy and vitality have been improved.

As in China, some people use Acupuncture to stay well and prevent illness.
